From 1st April 2026 the cost of a Primary School meal is £3.55 and the cost of a Secondary School meal is £3.60. The cost of Primary School Breakfast Club is £1.10.  All Primary 1 to Primary 5 pupils receive a free school meal.

All pupils in Primary 1- Primary 5 are entitled to a Universal free school meal. This also includes a free breakfast. You don’t have to do anything except send your child for a healthy, nutritious hot or cold meal. The 2 course lunch is worth £3.55 and the breakfast £1.10.

Please note, if you have a food allergy or intolerance then you should speak to your Head of Year/Catering Manager who will advise on the Special Diet Procedure.

Please note the only milk served is plain milk. All meal options include soup or sweet treat plus a choice of drink – water or milk.  Each day fruit or yoghurt can be selected as the sweet treat. All meals are served with two portions of vegetables.

Any grapes served to a child in Primary 1-3 as part of the school meals service will be halved to reduce the risk of choking.  Children from P4-7 will receive whole grapes.  Some schools may have to reduce or remove the provision of grapes due to time constraints.
