Our House Captains and Vice Captains organise, set up and clear away the Super Table each Friday, inviting children with good manners, being kind and helpful and behaving responsibly. The table is set with table covers, candles, decorations, place cards, jugs of juice and the most important Haribos. The children even get to skip the lunch queue and are served first. Here is today’s Super Table.

International Day of Happiness
Today is International Day of Happiness and we were celebrating, along with St. Andrew’s Hospice, to raise awareness of it. We all wrote out a Happiness certificate and our photos of these have all been sent to the Hospice. We plan to display some of these in school as well. In assembly today we talked about ways to spread Happiness by being friendly and playing with each other. We all enjoyed played the game – rock, paper, scissors here are some of the pictures.
Umbrella Orders
All pupils will receive their letters and order form for our brand new umbrella today. This is part of promoting our Park and Stride campaign and trying to make school a safer place for pupils during drop off and collection times. A copy of the letter and order form are attached below.

Fairtrade Status
We have been working so hard on our Fairtrade status this year . P6 pupils have been producing lots of excellent work and a fantastic assembly for Fairtrade Fortnight and P1 pupils have been using Fairtrade bananas in their cooking lessons. We have now been awarded our next Fairtrade award which is the Fairactive award for taking action on Fairtrade. Well done to all pupils and staff on this fantastic achievement.
Visit from the Project Trust

P3/4 to P7 had a very ingesting talk from Stuart who works with the Project Trust. He told us all about being a Global Citizen and that we should play our part in using our worlds resources ‘sustainably’. He also told us about making sure we play our part in Fairtrade which is something we have all been thinking about over that last week or so as it is Fairtrade Fortnight. I have some questions for you about yesterday’s talk, see how many you can answer and I will post the correct answers next week:)
1 How many litres of water do we use in a week?
2 How many people cannot get access to good quality water?
3 Which city was the example given about how water is not being used well?
4 How does this affect other countries?
5 Across the world what are some of the ways water is not used well?
6 Why are people in Namibia using water well?
7 What can we do to help?
Lets see how you get on…
100% Attendance
Congratulations to our P7 year group who managed to get 100% attendance last week. Lets see if some other year groups can also achieve this over the next few weeks.
