Miss McDonald and P6/5

p6/5 Term 2 2019-2020

P6/5 are currently learning about Titanic. We will be undergoing a range of tasks looking at life aboard the ship, Titanic’s tragic ending and the underwater wreckage.

In maths we are revising our mental addition strategies and extending our mental multiplication strategies. The P6s have been learning about the terms mean, mode, median and range and how to interpret graphs. The P5s are learning how to design and interpret different pictograms and also constructing their own bar graphs with different scales.

P6/5 are studying a range of novels in our class. Everyone is applying different reading strategies to a variety of follow-up written tasks. This will continue throughout the term using a variety of literature circle books.

PE for the class is on Monday morning (outdoors) and a Tuesday afternoon (indoors). Please bring appropriate kit and shoes for both of the days. We go to library on a Tuesday and P6s will be participating in the Accelerated Reading Programme through this. We must also remember our instruments on a Thursday for Soundstart!

All homework is issued on a Monday and due in on a Friday.
