Parent Council

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • Promoting close co-operation and communication between parents and school staff.
  • Promoting equality and fairness.
  • The study and discussion of matters of mutual interest relating to the education and welfare of pupils.
  • Engaging in activities which support and advance the education of pupils attending the school.
  • Represent the interests of all parents/carers (the Parent Forum) to the school and the local authority.
  • Support learning and school improvement
  • Be involved in the recruitment of senior staff, school inspections and the development of the School Improvement Planning.
  • Planning events throughout the year for the benefit of the children and to raise funds

The Parent Council actively looks for ideas, support and input from parents,as we aim to encourage full involvement in school life.
