Pupil Leadership Groups

UNCRC Article 12: Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously.

All St. Mary’s pupils are involved in Pupil Leadership Groups to allow them the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the decision-making and evaluation processes within the school. This gives them many opportunities to develop their confidence and apply their skills as the staff member involved plays only a minor role in facilitating the work of the group.

Here are the groups your children may be a part of:

Pupil Council – Mrs Fisher

Social Justice/Charities – Mrs Gladwell

Fairtrade – Mrs Teaz

Eco – Miss Wardrop

Digital Leaders –  Mrs McDonald

1+2 Languages – Miss Campbell

Health and Wellbeing – Mrs Beckford

Rights Respecting School/Global Citizenship – Miss Canning

Enterpise – Mrs Corkindale

Play – Miss Hughes
