Term 2:

We looked ‘spooktacular’ in our costumes!

In PE we have started to work on our fitness skills. We worked in small groups and rotated around different activities working on our speed and agility.

Term 1:

Primary 4/5 have been learning about the Global Goals. So far we have focusedĀ  on the areas of ‘Life Below Water’ and ‘Life on Land’. We know that everyone has to do their part in being a ‘Goal Keeper’ in order for a difference to be made.

Over the last week we have been learning about the dangers of overfishing. We decided to create a poster to raise awareness of the dangers of overfishing in oceans and seas.

The Big Hit Badminton Event!

Primary 4 children had a really exciting afternoon at The Portal for the big hit. Active Schools set up lots of different badminton activities for the children to work on their badminton skills including serving and hand eye coordination.

World Mental Health Day was the 10th of October. We spoke about what mental health is and strategies that we can use to support our own health and wellbeing . We know that as we are not all the same, different strategies will suit different people. For example some people might like a quiet space to listen to music if they are feeling worried or stressed but others may prefer to be active and take part in a sport or another form of physical activity to clear their mind. We created posters to raise awareness of strategies that people can try to support their own physical and mental health. . We worked really well in pairs to decide on which strategies to illustrate. This links to our Global Goals topic of Global Goal 3- Good Health and Wellbeing.
