Our School

Pennyburn Primary School was built in the early 1970’s. It is a flat roofed, semi-open plan building with generous classroom bases, open activity areas, separate dining room and gym and a large outdoor play area. The building is wheelchair accessible. Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised. Currently our role is approx. 190 pupils.  The school covers stages Primary 1 to Primary 7 (ages 4 – 12). It is a non-denominational and co-educational school.

Kilwinning Early Years Centre occupies part of Pennyburn Primary School’s building . This is a local authority establishment, not administered by the school, although the Centre and school work closely together.
