Introductory Information

Please note that Outlook within Glow should not be used to transfer any personal or sensitive information about pupils.  Senior management in your schools have corporate Outlook accounts for these purposes.

Digital Training Opportunities

Digital training is provided to schools either by myself or by outside agencies such as the Digital Skills Team at Education Scotland or independent trainers.  This year’s programme is a mix of online and in-person events and can be found here

Information about training can be found on Gateway.  You will be given a log in for Gateway as it contains all NAC training. Specific training sessions can also be requested by schools.

Digital Learning

You will find many documents relating to all aspects of digital technologies on this website, including internet safety, social media, government documents and GDPR.

Coding the Future

In North Ayrshire we have a virtual STEM Hub, run by the Coding the Future Team.  This consists of two members of staff from other NAC departments –  Michele Laverty and James McNeil,   secondary DHT Clare Bethell  and myself. The CtF Project has been nationally recognised and we hold annual Code Camps as well as facilitate school and library Code Clubs.

We have a Twitter account you can follow @NAC_CodeClubs We have a variety of equipment that can be borrowed including Spheros, Dash robots, BlueBots and a 360 degree camera.  These items are bookable by contacting:
