Throughout term one our topic focus was the Incredible Egyptians. We have covered many aspects through this theme from pyramids, pharaohs and Egyptian jewellery to our most recent focus on mummies and how to mummify a body. We are continuing with this topic in term two before moving on to a Mexican Christmas.

Last term when we were choosing a book from our book corner, we found a trail of sparkles which came from the window and led us right into the book shelf! At the end of the trail was a letter from The Friendly Dragon. He visited our classroom to ask for our help to rebuild Fairyland. We have been helping him by reading lots of fairy tales both in school and at home. We have been learning about lots of different people, places and very exciting stories. There have been beanstalks and magic beans, castles and dragons and princes and princesses. We have written back to the Friendly Dragon to tell him that we are helping him and we hope to get another letter from him soon.
