Annual DYW
Today, Christine and Anne from Forres Rotary club, dropped by to discuss our plans to support Bunono School in Uganda.
We discussed…
*Details for our challenge day walk. We invited Forres Rotarians to join us on the day to take photos and share our event/photos with the school on their next visit to Bunon school this May.
*Rotarians and elderly members from Forres community joining our UNA group to an afternoon of crafts. This will further build Sustainable Communitites and Good Health and Wellbeing in all age groups. Photos taken of this event will be shared along with pen pals letters the children will be writing.
*The Bunono school shoe collection and the logistics surrounding this task. Possibility of creating a collection then working with local projects to distribute shoes and taking a batch to Bunono School in May. further discussions to take place. Other ideas involved having local church members and Forres Rotarians working together with Alves Primary to crochet little dolls wearing African material. It is hope they may be taken over next year.
*Details of sanitation at the school and how we can campaign for childrens rights to be the highest standards. This is ongoing and further information from Rotarians is being gathered about Bunono Schools issues.
