For the past three weeks we have been welcoming a new P1 to Inveravon every Friday morning.  His name is Aaron and we have all really enjoyed learning and playing with him.  We are looking forward to having him in school all week after the summer!

All this term we have been practising a dance called a the mascot dance for the Tomintoul Olympics and we know all of the moves. There are paralympics, Olympics and partner moves and we will be doing it with 300 other pupils at the Tomintoul Mini Olympics on 11th June. Pamela Younie and Mrs Mitchell have been helping us learn the dance and we are all having a lot of fun!

On  Thursday 31st May Inveravon hosted a Jubilee Garden Party to celabrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.  We all worked hard to make sure the day was a success, but the only thing we couldn’t plan for was the weather.  Unfortunately, it rained on the day and we held our Garden Party inside the school hall.  But we all still had a lot of fun!  We invited the whole community, some of us made speeches on the day, we planted a Time Capsule that we hope people will dig up in 60 years time, held a quiz on the Queen and her life over the last 60 years and served lots of yummy food and drinks.
