At Larkfield ELC we utilise full use of our gorgeous outdoor space. However, we also value the importance of taking a step beyond the nursery perimeter and exploring our local community play spaces.

Our LarkyVentures team have formed a ‘Reservoir Roaming’ initiative which aims to promote children’s wellbeing, connect them with nature, and learn through play.

Our Reservoir Roaming has become a highlight for the children, offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature while supporting their health and wellbeing

These outdoor experiences give children the freedom to explore, enjoy fresh air, and engage in risky play that helps build confidence and important risk assessment skills.

The reservoir setting provides plenty of space for adventure, creativity, and discovery, while also linking to our Book of the Block to promote a love of literacy in the outdoors.

We are proud to see how these adventures enrich learning, inspire imagination, and nurture happy, resilient children.
