Although it is important to identify where we are now, it is not enough to stop there. We need to reflect upon how we can develop the skills where we are less confident and how we can transfer the skills in which we are confident and competent.

Activity 2

Complete the audit below, using the information from the table above.

Recognition Reflection Action
Skills already developed How will I use these How do I know (evidence)**
organise and plan  I will use these to help ensure that all necessary work will be done on time and I can plan ahead to reduce last minute stress.  I use a diary and weekly planner to organise any work I have to do and plan when I can do depending on any other commitments I have.
Manage Time  I will use this to stay on top of my work so that I am not doing it all at the last minute which will help my work be at a high quality.
Make presentations  This will be good when revising any knowledge I have learnt and can also be used in group work.  I have learnt how to make good presentations at Higher Administration and IT.
Act as a leader This can be useful when doing group work which can ensure everyone in on task and everyone is being accountable.  I learnt how to become a leader when being a supervisor at work and making sure that workload was spread out evenly and everyone knew what they were doing.
Listen to Others  This will be good during lectures and seminars as listening to other will help boost my knowledge and can also help me decide my own views on various subjects.
Take notes  I will use this during lectures as powerpoint are not always all the information that I may need.  I have learnt how to take notes well during my highers.

** This section should be completed as you identify when/where/how you have used/developed these skills.
