I am a fourth year MA (Hons) Education student at the University of Dundee. I am very interested in early literacy development and promoting children’s reading for enjoyment in the classroom and beyond. I am currently exploring the relationship between systematic phonics programmes and children’s engagement with wider reading and intend to publish my findings on my educational e-portfolio.

Beyond literacy, I am extremely passionate about active learning and learning through play and aim to make my teaching as hands on and meaningful as possible. My blog allows me to reflect on my engagement with academic literature and share ideas and resources I have used as a result of my reading.
