Class activities:
Forest School – Woodmuir Primary School Blog
Starting this week with a visit to Breich Woodland in Spring, looking at the changes since Winter. We were on the lookout for bluebells, which we saw, animals coming out of hibernation, which we didn’t see, and the birds singing and building their nests.
We collected sticks to make kites to make the most of the Spring winds and used our meta skills to make other things, such as boomerangs, inspired by the shapes of the sticks we found.

Friday Outdoor Learning | Braemar School Blog
This week we spent Friday afternoon working on a number of tasks in the school grounds.Everything in the polycrub needed a good watering and our Livingstone Daisy seedlings needed thinning and potting on. We also washed the mud kitchen equipment, ready to play with next week. Some children painted cardboard flowers, which we will use as decoration. We did some recording for a ‘Braemar TV’ programme about outdoor learning. We also had an opportunity to use our new woodworking tools, with some children sawing and using a hand drill to make wooden sections for our playground snakes. Lots of new skills to be developed in the coming weeks!
