Designed to be downloaded and displayed in spaces where young people are, a series of free posters posters direct to Reach, Enquire’s website for children and young people, aiming to help young people better understand their support needs, rights around support for learning and what help could be available.
A set has also been developed for professionals looking for more advice and information on supporting young people and their families in their setting, and delivering support for learning.
Reach – advice and information for young people
Reach is Enquire’s website for children and young people. Written with young people in mind, these pages explain more about additional support needs, explore how this might present in school and identify what support could be available.
Our free poster highlights Reach and provides both a website and a URL to take young people directly to the homepage.
Reach can also be a helpful tool for adults working with and supporting young people, exploring additional support needs and the world of additional support for learning in a way that feels accessible and age-appropriate. You may find it useful to share with young people in your setting, or find some of the pages are helpful conversation tools.
Who else can help?
We know that it can be important for a young person to have a visual reference and a face to put the name. This can help them feel more comfortable approaching an adult and asking for help or support.
Working with the My Rights, My Say Young Advisors we have created a practical tool to identify who a young person can speak to about their rights and ensure their right to be involved in decision making is upheld in your setting.
Download their poster and add a photo, job title and contact details for the appropriate staff member(s) or others within the school or wider community, for example local support groups or advocacy services for young people.

Our free poster signposts to our website and highlights our role as Scotland’s advice and information service for additional support for learning.
