Spelling and Addition

This week P2B did their big spelling test and did very well remember to use their phonics to help. They also started to tackle 2 digit plus two digit addition using place value to help them partition numbers and add their tens and ones. Great work!

This week in p7b

We had a great tie doing the Maths escape room. It was really fun and we worked well together to complete the challenges.

We introduced our new genre in Writing and have started a self assessment and redrafting project to help us build our confidence.

We started new books and a new reading routine and all agree we think it is going to go well for us.

Merry Christmas

What a wonderful end to term 2! Primary 1enjoyed some fun Christmas activities in the classroom and topped off the term with a Christmas party and visit from Santa. The children have all worked hard this year and I’m sure you will agree performed an amazing nativity.

It is time to round off the year and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to 2025!

I can’t quite believe we are at the end of Term 2 in P4b!
I am so proud of each and every one of you and everything you have achieved this year. I can’t wait to continue to share your successes in 2025! I wish you and your families a wonderful festive break!
Love from Mrs Wightman X

Mrs Wightman asked us if we would like individual gifts for Christmas or a whole class gift. We spoke about this with our classmates and decided we would like to make a donation instead. We decided to add Mrs Wightman’s money to the money we raised at our Enterprise and pay for dinner for 11 homeless people.

P5a End of term round up

What a busy final week of term we have had in p5! We have been consolidating our learning in maths through games.

We had lots of fun at our Christmas party, and we have been very busy preparing for our p5 enterprise, where groups have run a small business, making products to sell. We held our enterprise on Thursday afternoon, just between the 2 p5 classes and it was a huge success, where children have raised approximately £160! We would like to thank you all for your support in making this venture such a success!
The children all had lots of fun working on their team enterprise and showed fantastic teamwork and communication. Well done p5!

Merry Christmas and Happy holidays!

Wishing all our families a wonderful Christmas and an Happy New Year. We can’t wait to see you all back in 2025!
