Parent Council Official Facebook Page

The Parent Council are delighted to announce the launch of their new official Facebook page. The aim of the page is to connect families with Parent Council.

Through the new Facebook Page, the Parent Council intend to do the following in the days and weeks ahead –

Explain the role of a Parent Council
Introduce you to the Parent Council office bearers.
Provide a link to the minutes of Parent Council meetings.
Provide an update on our aims and objectives ahead of the next school year.

Comments will remain turned off for the time being. The preferred methods for communicating with the Parent Council are attendance at meetings and email via –

New Primary 1 Induction Days 2024

Thank you to all our the families and children who attended our Primary 1 Induction Days this term. It was lovely to see you all and we are so excited to welcome you to Wallacewell Primary in August 2024.

Excitement in Primary 2 today as the children discovered one of our stick insects has hatched and was moving around the net. Just a little bit over a centimetre, it was welcomed into the class with squeals of delight. Still a few more to hatch so eager eyes are watching.

Also the first of our cucamelon seedlings have popped through the soil.

Nature is an amazing teacher!

Planting seeds

Primary 2 were learning about and drawing the life cycle of a plant.

To complete the lesson, they planted Cucamelon seeds which they will observe growing and hopefully have the opportunity to taste the fruits.

They are very excited to taste the grape sized tangy cucumber like fruits.

Blair Drummond Trip

The children had a fantastic day at Blair Drummond Safari Park. Despite the rain, they had a great time watching the animals, going through the dinosaur trail and playing in the fort play park and pirate ship sand pit. A firm favourite was seeing Oscar the sea lion perform his tricks.

Thank you to our adult helpers for their support and to the children for being so well behaved.
