P6a have been learning about renewable and non renewable energy sources. So far we have explored how cogs work, and have also made puff mobiles to race with wind power. Our favourite so far has been to mine for coal…using chocolate chip cookies! We explored how difficult it could be to mine for ‘coal’ without disrupting the ‘land’ around it, keeping the miners safe. Next we will be making our own water wheels to explore hydropower.
