Miss Cohen is feeling super proud!

Well done to all our new cyclists in P7 this week; Rowan, Muntaha, Maria Mackova, Abu Bakr Qasim, Irfan, Lana, Gopal and Nabeeha. Bike for Good, our local social enterprise partners on Victoria Road, have kindly offered us cycling lessons for beginners. Hopefully, we will put our newly learned skills to great use during our P7 Leavers Trip to Millport next week, yay!!

Nabeeha completing a lap of triumph!
Rowan getting her balance just right before setting off!
They can’t resist a selfie, these two! Haha
Lana helping Gopal to make sure he is cycling safely with his helmet secure!

Thank you to Hannah, Gail and Peter for showing us the ropes!

Subhaan’s amazing performance at the Tramway!

On Saturday 9th June, Subhaan performed alongside his intergenerational dance group from the Barrowland Ballet company – ‘Wolf Pack’. They performed a wonderful piece called ‘One and All’. Miss Cohen was super impressed with Subhaan’s commitment and rhythm when on stage, he is an absolute superstar!

Well done Subhaan, we love ya!

Tedx Youth Glasgow Event

Last Thursday, Miss Cohen, Miss Webster, Mr McCormack and some members from P7 went along to the SECC and the Armadillo to the Tedx Youth Glasgow Event. We heard some amazing, truly inspirational speakers discuss current, topical issues – mental health, exercise and diet, dealing with depression and anxiety, having a “disability”, the power and influence of social media and many more.

When we weren’t posing in the selfie mirror with fun props, and boogying to the silent disco tunes, we were enjoying one another’s company and reflecting on the Year of the Young People, 2018 – and our place in celebrating this!

It was a really fun trip! And for those who didn’t get the chance to come along – you can check out the key speakers and read about their stories;

Zafirah’s Iftaari evening…

Hello Miss Cohen,

These are a few pics of what Iftaari looks like in our house.  We have a date, then freshly made fruit chaat every day and a glass of rooh afza (milkshake), which is then followed by a different starter and main dish every day.  Even though we have been hungry all day very little is eaten and we feel really full after a few bites!!  So only small portions are made.
