Outdoor play

Yesterday we had outdoor play as the sun was shining.  We had some problem solving to do as we had to build a tent.  We also had to work together to complete the obstacle course and collect items of clothing on a shopping list.

Poetry

The children have been working on poetry this term.  They read a story about Stickman and then had to imagine how Stickman was feeling as he was being chased by a dog. After they had the first part of the poem, they then had to imagine how he felt when he finally made it home. The 2 poems were a contrast of feelings.  Rahib performed his poem wonderfully.

The next poem the children worked on was Freedom. First they discussed what ‘freedom’ meant to them. There were many great answers including – going swimming, having friends and going to the park. Fraser and Adam performed their poems to the class with confidence.
