Primary 6b Wallacewell Primary

P6B Week

We stayed active in PE by playing rounders, helping us to improve our teamwork, coordination, and understanding of game strategies.

Our reading skills were a focus as we began creating written reading journals for our wall displays. We worked on presenting our ideas clearly and neatly, showing our understanding of the texts we have been reading.

In maths, we explored different aspects of measure. We learned how to measure using millimetres (mm) and centimetres (cm), and later practised converting between a variety of units. Towards the end of the week, we began looking at measuring mass, helping us understand weight and how it is measured.

In STEM, we worked on shape drawings, developing our accuracy, precision, and design skills.

We also continued building our French skills by playing games based on classroom instructions. This helped improve our listening skills and confidence in understanding and responding in French.

In writing, we developed our persuasive techniques by writing to Xbox, trying to convince them to sponsor our gaming tournament. We focused on using strong arguments and persuasive language to make our writing more effective.

We also worked on reading comprehension through reading groups and answering questions, helping us to deepen our understanding of texts.
