We have had a very busy week, practicing for our showcase. We have been learning our songs and dance, while also completing work in preparation for our show.
In Literacy, we looked at plural and when you add an ‘s’ or an ‘es’ at the end of the word. We also had a new spelling sound this week. We practiced our diacritical marking using our words from this week. We looked at acrostic poems and completed one using the word ‘easter’.
In maths, We continued with fractions and looked at fractions of a whole number and how we can use arrays to help us in our learning. We then challenged ourselves to extract information from a word problem
In IDL, we have started our new topic of Easter in preparation for our Easter showcase. This week we discussed spring and used our Maths knowledge to make butterflies which were symmetrical. We also looked at the story of Easter, looking at a comprehension piece and a story sequencing. With Mrs Dedecker we looked at spring flowers and used chalk pastels to blend colours.
Thank you for all the Easter Bonnets that have already come into school – Just a reminder that they are due for the 27th April 2026. We are excited to continue our show practice next week and to learn more about Easter!
