Our first week back after the Easter holidays has been really busy and exciting. In maths, we focused on addition and subtraction, using both partitioning and vertical sums to help us solve problems more confidently. We also took time to write about our holidays, sharing what we did and practising our writing skills.
At the start of the week, we made personal goals to work towards this term, thinking carefully about how we can improve and challenge ourselves. In art, we began our cherry blossom project, which we are looking forward to working on next week.
We also visited the playroom to launch our new IDL topic, “World of Sports,” which sounds really fun. As part of our learning, we created life cycles for different animal groups, including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and insects. This helped us understand how animals grow and change. Overall, it has been a great start to the term, and we are excited for what’s ahead.
