Primary 3a Wallacewell Primary

Welcome to P3a’s Blog 2026/27

We have had a lovely start to the year, getting to know each other and familiarising ourselves with the classroom routines in Primary 3. Our topic, Exotic Animals, has provided a wonderful base for lots of creative learning. The children are really enjoying our class novel ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ where we have been focusing on visualising what we have read and predicting what will hapen next. In maths we have been revisiting a variety of topics and buiding on previous learning in place value, skip counting, shape and fractions. We are most proud of our magnificent art work. We have been focusing on using lines and shape for line drawings as well as diffierent ways  of adding colour to our artwork. Below are some examples of where we used watercolour paints and the ‘wet on wet’ technique on our line drawings of crocodiles. We then created line drawings of fish and learned about different printing methods before adding  colour via foil monoprinting.
