Primary 1a Wallacewell Primary

Welcome Back to Our Final Term in Primary 1!

The children have returned after a rather wet spring break, full of enthusiasm for their final term in Primary 1. It has been wonderful to hear their stories. Many shared exciting adventures and it’s clear just how much they missed spending time with their friends.

Our new topic, Changes, is now underway. We’ll be exploring how things change over time, looking at life cycles such as frogs and caterpillars, as well as changes in trees and the weather. In the playroom, the children have been busy preparing weather forecasts, and it has been great fun listening to them talk about places they have visited and predict what the weather might be like there. They have been planting beans and will be able to record the changes over time as they grow.

This week, the class has also been recording with the music teacher as part of a citywide song and video project. An exciting experience for everyone involved.

In preparation for sports day, the children enjoyed taking part in some of the activities that they will be undertaking as part of our P.E. sessions. There was lots of encouragement and support for their team as they took on new challenges.

There is plenty to learn and revisit this term, so your continued support at home is greatly appreciated.
