The Baton Launch
The Glasgow Schools Baton Launch is now complete:
Commonwealth Games 2026 Glasgow have produced a resource for when the baton comes to your establishment. The baton is now a Learning Community Baton and will hopefully be in all schools, being part of events and used to celebrate the games coming to our city.
There is an assembly presentation and the challenge to design/decorate the baton.
Our Glasgow Schools Baton relay is a brilliant way to engage all our young people with the Commonwealth Games, foster community, encourage physical activity and build awareness around sustainability.
The Glasgow Schools Baton Relay comprises three different elements:
1. Baton design (Create)
2. Physical activity and journey (Move)
3. Sustainability project (Sustain)
