RSHP (Relationships, Sexual Health, and Parenthood)

In line with Glasgow City Council guidance, in all classes, as part of the Health and Wellbeing curriculum, our children will be learning about Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood (RSHP). The topics are fully in line with Curriculum for Excellence.

It is very important that taking into account the age and stage of the child that we take steps to use a common vocabulary to describe our emotions, feelings and body parts.

A reminder that Early is Primary 1, First is Primary 2-4, and Second is Primary 5-7. Aspects within these levels are taught progressively, for example, in Second Level, ‘To begin’ – P5, Progression 1 – P6 and Progression 2 – P7.
