Parent Partnership

MOUNT FLORIDA PRIMARY PARENT PARTNERSHIP

The Parent Partnership is a group of volunteer parents / carers selected yearly at the AGM to represent the views of the wider parent forum. The aim of the Parent Partnership is to promote partnership between the school, its pupils, all parents and carers and the local community.

Our objectives are to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of pupils. We identify and represent the views of parents or carers on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of pupils. We promote the parental or carers’ involvement in their child’s education. We enable parents or carers to share ideas, interests and skills for the benefit of the school.

We also fundraise, hold events, participate in consultations and play a part in recruiting headteachers and deputes.

We can have 12 members of the committee and as many people as we like attending the meetings. We meet regularly throughout the year, normally in the school but online during the current situation. The headteacher or their representative is always at the meetings and we are well supported by the staff.

Our current committee members are;

Chair: Crissie

Vice chair: Karen

Treasurer: Gillian

Clerk: Lorna

  • Ruth
  • Nicola G
  • Nicola S
  • Angela
  • Sheila

Co-opted members: Joan Kilpatrick, Stuart Love

We are always looking for parents and carers to join us. Please consider volunteering even if it’s not on a regular basis. We kindly ask that you highlight issues of interest and possible solutions and respond to requests for feedback or views.
