MOUNT FLORIDA PRIMARY FAMILY PARTNERSHIP
The Family Partnership is a group of volunteer parents / carers selected yearly at the AGM to represent the views of the wider parent forum. The aim of the Family Partnership is to promote partnership between the school, its pupils, all parents and carers and the local community.
Our objectives are to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of pupils. We aim to identify and represent the views of parents or carers on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of pupils. We promote the parental or carers’ involvement in their child’s education. We enable parents or carers to share ideas, interests and skills for the benefit of the school.
We also fundraise, hold events, participate in consultations and play a part in recruiting headteachers and deputes.
We can have 12 members of the committee and as many people as we like attending the meetings. We meet every month throughout the school year, in the school and online. The headteacher or their representative is always at the meetings, and we are well supported by the staff.
Our current office bearers are:
Co-Chairs – Chris Seenan and Tatora Mukushi
Treasurer – Morag Faulkner/Caroline Winn
Clerk – Sarah Wilson
We are always looking for parents and carers to join us. Please consider volunteering even if it’s not on a regular basis. We kindly ask that you highlight issues of interest and possible solutions and respond to requests for feedback or views.
How to contact us:
Please email: mf.family.partnership@gmail.com or
leave a message with the school office.

A Quick Look Back at Last Year
Last year we focused on fundraising and improving the outdoor space around the school. With your help, we:
- Secured £5,896 from Glasgow City Council’s Local Area Partnership Fund to enhance the playground
- Ran a Spring Easter Egg Trail where nearly 100 children received a free chocolate egg thanks to support from Tesco
- Hosted the Summer Fair in June, raising £980 and bringing together families, staff and the wider community
A huge thank you to everyone who donated time, ideas, baking, raffle prizes – and energy! These activities were only possible thanks to the amazing support from families and local businesses.
What’s Coming Up This Year?
We’ve got some brilliant plans underway:
- School Disco (new for this year!)
- Easter Egg Trail (back by popular demand)
- Summer Fair 2026
- Playground improvement projects
- More community events and fundraising ideas to come!
We’d love your help to bring all of this to life.
