S1-S3 BGE
The Modern Languages course for S1-3 is designed to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in line with the Curriculum for Excellence. In S1, students work on 3rd Level outcomes, revisiting 2nd Level concepts if needed. By S2, they progress to 4th Level skills for continued growth.
Lessons take place in mixed-ability classes, using differentiated resources to meet varied learning needs. The curriculum also emphasises cultural awareness and practical application of language skills. Targeted support is available to ensure all pupils build confidence and achieve their potential.
