Touch of Tartan or Something Scottish

Wednesday is Burns Day and children can come to school in a Touch of Tartan or something Scottish if they wish. Please note there is no expectation and please don’t purchase anything new. A little tartan ribbon/tie or anything you have at home already is perfect.

French Horn Tuition

Dear Parent/Carer,

French Horn,

Glasgow CREATE GCC Education Services are offering young children from P4-S1 the opportunity to take part in weekly French Horn lessons, delivered by our resident Horn Tutor, Dave Pryce. The classes take place on Saturday mornings, at CREATE’s Centre for Training and Performance, City Halls. 87-101 Albion Street Glasgow G1 1LH.

These sessions are aimed at complete beginners and are free of charge. Instruments are also provided free of charge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any young person who is interested in music, places will be offered on a first come first served basis. Once children have reached a particular stage they will also be offered a place with the Junior Brass Ensemble, which then leads into the Concert Band, Symphonic Wind Band and Symphony Orchestra.

For further information and to secure a place please contact Pamela Black by email –
