Reading- 3 Sharings

These are cards we use in school to discuss reading with the children. Children use them throughout the school to express likes, dislikes and make connections to the text they have read.

We have them translated into our main languages, Urdu, Arabic and Punjabi.

When your child has been reading or you are reading with your child these can be a great way to start a discussion.

Contacting our Families

We are going to be touching base with all families over the coming weeks to check that everyone is managing ok. Every family group will receive a call from one of our school staff. If you have any questions or concerns this can be fed back to the Senior Leadership Team and will allow us to address any common questions by sending out information on the school app. Staff will be calling from personal devices, therefore numbers will be withheld.

Thank You!

We would like to send a huge big thank you to all our Ibrox Family. It has been a rollercoaster of a week and all staff have gone over and above to maintain a calm learning environment for our children. We have been overwhelmed by the lovely, kind and supportive comments from so many of our parents. This has given staff a real boost at this difficult time. A special mention must be given to our parent council who worked so hard to prepare our home learning packs. Today we said goodbye to our children unsure of whether we will see them again this school session, thank you to all who joined us to clap and cheer our P7 pupils. We are hoping it is not a goodbye but simply a see you later.

Going forward we will communicate via our school app, blog and our twitter accounts. We are aiming to check in with all families by a weekly phone call. We are here if you need us and urge all our families to stay safe.

Hopefully we will have Team Ibrox back together soon!

Learning from Home

Learning from Home

Please find below a selection of websites that you may wish to explore with your child during any period of self-isolation or enforced home learning. Here they can revise work done in school, learn a new skill and explore museums of the world!

Why not encourage your child to keep note of any website they have visited, write about what they liked/disliked about it, what it helped them to learn, and perhaps give it a score out of 10?

Simply click the below links to access the relevant sites. The website full address is then noted under the direct link for us on desktop computers.
