Easter Holiday Fun

Ms Whitehead has very kindly volunteered to lead some outdoor learning sessions in the park over the holidays. The provisional dates and times are Tuesday 6th, Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th from 10am-3pm. Children will meet at school, and a packed lunch will be provided. It will depend on numbers how many sessions a child will be able to attend. Due to current restrictions we are unable to have any parents accompanying us. Please let us know of you would like a place by completing the the form on our app or calling the office. Please list all children and classes and note that this is only for children who currently attend Ibrox Primary School.

Badger’s Pantry

Easter Fun!

We finish next Thursday for our Spring Break as Friday is Good Friday and a holiday. School will close on Thursday 1st April at 230pm.

EASTER BONNET COMPETITION 

Our JLT will be running and judging an Easter Bonnet competition.  Children should wear/ bring their bonnets to school on Thursday 1st April and the JLT will judge the entries before awarding prizes. We are looking forward to seeing your Ibrox/Easter inspired entries. Please note this is voluntary to take part in and we will have infant and upper prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd place)

EASTER EGG RAFFLE

Next week in school we will be having some Easter Fun.Big thanks to Mrs MacKinnon and Mrs Gillespie who have organised our annual Easter Egg raffle. Tickets cost 10p and all eggs have been kindly donated by pupils and staff. Donations will be are still being accepted. As the eggs have been donated we cannot ensure that they are Halal/suitable for allergies. Due to this any eggs won will be sent home with pupils to be shared at home. The draw will take place on Thursday next week.

SWEET TREAT FROM PARENT COUNCIL

Our Parent Council have also organised for all pupils to receive a small Easter treat. This will be given out in school and they have taken account of dietary requirements and pupils with allergies. Please contact the school if you don’t want your child to receive an egg from the Parent Council.

We hope that you have a relaxing Spring Break. School is closed from Friday 2nd April, with children back in school on Monday 19th April.

PEEK at the Park- Fri 18th March

P4 and P5 will be at the park tomorrow with PEEK.

P4 will leave school at 10am and return at approx 1pm

P5 will leave school at 11:30am and return approx 2:30pm

Bring a packed lunch (those who get a FSM will be given one) and a bottle of water.

Remember to wear suitable clothing!

Coffee and Catch Up

It was lovely to see so many of you come along to our ‘Coffee and Catch Up’ session last week. This week we are back to running on the 2 separate slots on Wednesday 17th March, P1-P3 330-4PM and P4- P7 415-445pm, tune in via your child’s Teams account.

The focus of discussion this week will be our Outdoor Learning and Park Visits. We would also like to hand, ‘Over to You’ and allow you to ask any general questions you may have. You can ask your questions by unmuting your mic, putting them in the chat, emailing Headteacher@Ibrox-pri.glasgow.sch.uk or contacting one of the SLT on Twitter.

Welcome Back!

We are so looking forward to welcoming our P4-P7 children back and having a whole school again!

Just a couple of reminders that we need everyone to follow to keep all children safe

  • Please DROP and GO! Our Playground will have adult supervision to ensure younger children go straight to class and older children go to their allocated zones
  • P1-P3 please come between 850 and 9am and collect from 250-3pm, children will go straight to class in the morning
  • P4-P7 you can enter the playground anytime after 845am. Children will leave by allocated gates at 3pm
  • Please ensure you maintain a 2m physical distance from other adults at the gate and wear a face covering
