On day one we went to Helensburgh to do an activity called Intro Adventuring. We went with our instructor called Andrè who will be our instructor for the whole week. Mrs Chalmers came with our group too. We went to Hill House on the mini bus and explored the area around. We walked along a path and found mud and water. We all jumped and splashed and got very dirty but we had on our waterproofs on so it was fine. We walked on and played a game of Camouflage where we had to hide in the woods and not be seen the last person to be found wins. It was a challenge as we kept stepping on sticks which cracked and made big noises. We walked on to the stream and decided to walk down. We walked all along the bed of the stream and the water was freezing everyone had wet feet and wellies! We all enjoyed the first trip and we never thought that jumping in mud could be so much fun! Our instructor for the week is Bill. For Intro Adventuring we went down lots of streams in the water. We found lots of different plants and learned all about them. We collected stones from the river and have used them to make a collage tonight. It was fun but really really messy. Evie and Abdul
Our instructor is called Fran. We learned about the different burns and went through tunnels and in lots of mud. We had to climb up rocks too. My team was really helpful at a bit where I was stuck we worked as a team and Brian helped me up. It’s been a really good first day and I can’t wait for tomorrow! Abbie

Loved reading this first post on our blog! Thanks to Mrs C and all you fabby children for taking the time to update us with your Day 1 news. Also loved looking at the pictures. You all look like you’re having fun. I don’t recognise any of the instructors names so there must be some new staff since I was there 2 years ago.
