P2a Book Day

Primary 2a really enjoyed celebrating World Book Day last week. Here are some of their brilliant costumes!

Each child was given a potato to design their own book character. Here are some of their creative designs.

P6a

World Book Day in P6a.

In P6a we love to read. Did you know that reading at home for 20 minutes a day can have a massive impact?

All of the class have been given a £1 book token. Children can either purchase a book for a £1 or receive £1 off a book of their choice.

Well done to all of the children for the effort they made with their potatoes.

World book day in P7b

Books and characters came to life in P7b today!

We kicked off our World Book Day celebrations with the potato competition. Thank you to Miss Gibson for kindly coming in and picking a winner. Well done to Cherise Travers for winning and all the other participants. They were fantastic.

In the afternoon we designed our own book tokens for a competition that gets sent away. It won’t be surprising if we have a winner because they were of excellent standard. We also did a book review on our favourite books. We have alternative endings and created sequels. Lots of creativity was happening in P7b and lots of celebrating literature.
