Comments Off on P3a Lego Robotics
P3a had a fantastic afternoon building Lego robots as part of our STEM fortnight. We had to work in pairs to build the different robots which included snails, fans and space ships before we used the computer programme to make them move. We had so much fun watching our creations come to life!

Comments Off on Play In Our Playground
Investing in children’s play is one of the most important things we can do to improve children’s health and wellbeing. Breaks and lunchtimes are a vital part of children’s play opportunity. We want to transform these opportunities by transforming our playground. Over the next few months you may see or hear about changes in our playground. One of the first changes is the introduction of Loose Parts Play. We have started to introduce elements of this already and it has gone down very well with our pupils. Who knew a few bread crates in a playground could result in so much fun for and creativity from our pupils.
For more information on Loose Parts Play download our parents information leaflet from Play Scotland below

Great fun building and programming Lego robots today for P3b. The children were great at following the onscreen instructions and working together to build and program different models. What a great experience!

What has happened to Mr Ramsey? Can the primary sixes and sevens solve the crime in time before the culprit strikes again?

Comments Off on Pollution Solution
P7b enjoy science experiments. As part of British Science Week they carried out an experiment that showed the effects of pollution versus clean air.
They wrote up their experiments before carrying them out.

Comments Off on Tinkering in P7b
P7b enjoyed taking the old laptops apart and then putting them back together. They debated on the functions of each part and what would happen if certain parts were not there or taken away. Who knew tinkering with old equipment could be so much fun?!

Thank you to all the parents/carers who attended our showcase event on Friday. It was a great turn out and the children enjoyed showing off their amazing castles and knowledge about Knights and Castles. They also did a great job of interviewing you for Castle jobs including Miss Davidson who is possibly looking for a change ☺
