P5a completed a winter science experiment that we started yesterday. We filled up a balloon with water and left it outside through the night to freeze. As water freezes (at 0 degrees and below) impurities come out as bubbles.

P5a entertained the P1s and 2s with their rendition of Jingle Bells.

Primary 5a spent the afternoon learning the science behind growing the Grinch’s heart. It was fun as well as educational 😸

Today Primary 5a covered the engineering aspect of S.T.E.M.  by taking on the Lego Challenge. We all had a bag of Lego and were given five minutes to build various objects.

P5a has had a busy outdoor learning day today. Firstly, we were matching fractions in the morning (Numeracy).  This afternoon we were testing our Make it Fly aeroplanes and helicopters (STEM).

P5a have been cooking flat bread in class this week. Yum yum!
