Task 1  – Read chapter 2  – there is a link to YouTube in your Teams channel.

Task 2  – Open up the PowerPoint and read through the instructions. There is a blank Word document you can print out or use it as a guide for you to use in your yellow jotter.

I look forward to seeing them at 2.40pm on Tuesday.

P7/6

Thank you to all who logged into the Live Lessons today. I am so sorry that today has been rather stressful and frustrating when trying to access the work. From now on, the work will also be uploaded here so you can access it if Teams isn’t playing ball.

Literacy

If you are doing Danny the Champion of the World, then you have this before reading activity to complete. If you have been given a different book, you can follow the instructions in your pack and complete the reading book and worksheet for this week.

The spelling activity is for all to complete.

Maths

(Everyone is being given an extra day to complete the maths worksheets due to the difficulties we faced accessing them on Teams. If you have completed the maths worksheets then you can complete the Sumdog challenge that I set for you and your group).

Triangles

Have a look at the pic below titled ‘Pic 1’. Copy his neatly into a new page of your jotter – try not to squash.
Shade the numbers in the 8 times table in one colour, and numbers in the 9 times table in another colour.  – What do you notice? Write a sentence to explain.

Look at ‘Pic 2’. -dividing HTU. Carefully read the explanation at the top to remind you!
Do this page into your jotter, remember to use a ruler for your lines, and do them all as bus stop sums.

Squares

You should have the hundred square copied into your jotter from yesterday. If not then please see Pic 1.
Shade the numbers in the 6 times table in one colour, and the numbers in the 7 times in a different colour.  What do you notice? Write a sentence to explain.

Look at ‘Pic 3’ – dividing TU. We did a lot of these before the break so you should manage to do this page into your jotter. Make sure they are all bus stop sums and that you use your ruler.

Can you write your 2 times table down as fast as you can?

Home Learning – IDL

Your teacher has created an IDL learning grid for you to work through at home. This grid contains a variety of learning activities linked to PATHS, Health & Wellbeing, Social Studies, Science and Expressive Arts. During your allocated IDL slots on your learning timetable select an activity to complete. Some activities may require internet access others can be completed without. Some activities may take longer to complete than others and as such can be completed over several IDL slots.
Feel free to share your learning with us by taking a picture, uploading it to Twitter with the help of a grown up and tagging us at Hillington Primary School with @HillingtonPS
