Learn spellings from this week’s phonics work. Use whichever strategies work best for you, look, cover, write and check, rainbow spellings, break each word down etc
Ask an adult to check some with you.

WRITING

‘Pic 1’
Write the title ‘Moods’.
Read through Kevin and Gita’s writing. Think about how you feel when you’re in these moods. Can you write how it feels and what you do in your own words?
Aim to write about at least 4 different moods, you may use different ones than are mentioned in this book.
Remember to write in sentences. you might want to illustrate your writing.

Friday 15th January – Numeracy

A new Sumdog challenge starts today! Log on and spend a while on that at your own level.

Triangles

‘Pic 1’ Dividing HTU by 6 and 7. Do these into your jotter as bus stop sums.

Find 5 HTU numbers that divide exactly by 8. You will need to guess and check – show all your working in your jotter,and again – you must use bus stop sums.

Squares

‘Pic 2’ Dividing TU numbers by 6 and 7. Do these into your jotter as bus stop sums.

‘Pic 3’ Have a look at the photo down below.  Pick a three digit number, write it in your jotter, and work through each challenge noting the answers on your page.

1. Seven hundred and thirty four.
2. The number in bubble letters if you can.

4. 744
5. 724
6. 736
7. 735
8. (734 x 2) 1468
9. 700 + 30 + 4
10. 7 hundreds, 3 tens and 4 units.  

Please note: if this is too difficult for you, try it with just TU numbers.
