Scotland-wide Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel Scheme for Under 22s.

Scotland-wide Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel Scheme for Under 22s.

As you may know, the scheme launched in January this year allowing children and young people aged 5-21 who live in Scotland to travel for free by bus with a valid National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot NEC.

Lots of young people ARE benefitting from the scheme, and in September nationwide marketing campaign was launched to increase awareness and understanding of the scheme and to encourage even more young people to apply.

The website, freebus.scot, has lots of information about free bus travel, how it works, how to apply, the benefits and some tips for travelling safely too. It also includes a section with resources for stakeholders. If you have any questions about the scheme please get in touch using the contact details on the freebus.scot website.

Primary 4 had a fun afternoon creating their own pick-a-witch using oil pastels. I am sure you will agree that they are spooktacular! 🧙‍♀️🧙

This week primary 1 have been consolidating the phonemes s a t p i n and numbers 1-10, we have been very busy!

There has been lots of formation practise of the phonemes and numbers to 10.

We inspected lots of different types of insects and sorted them into groups.

We had lots of fun writing invitations to our friends for a picnic with the tiger who came to tea.

In Health we have been learning about the importance of brushing our teeth. We brush them every day after lunch and had fun cleaning the t’s off these teeth.
