Primary 5a spent the afternoon learning the science behind growing the Grinch’s heart. It was fun as well as educational 😸

Today Primary 5a covered the engineering aspect of S.T.E.M.  by taking on the Lego Challenge. We all had a bag of Lego and were given five minutes to build various objects.

P5a has had a busy outdoor learning day today. Firstly, we were matching fractions in the morning (Numeracy).  This afternoon we were testing our Make it Fly aeroplanes and helicopters (STEM).

P5a have been cooking flat bread in class this week. Yum yum!  

P5a are ready for the Christmas Fayre. How many sweets do you think are in the jar?

P5a are ready for Halloween! We spent the day writing lovely Halloween stories and took them along to read to the primary one classes. Everyone had a great time. Great work P5 😸

P5a took our learning outside to learn about the Big Bang Theory. We created our very own Solar System using a science experiment to prove the expansion of matter.
