P5/4 had a fun afternoon mummifying a tomato (or apple). We followed the same process the Ancient  Egyptians used to  mummify a body. In 4 weeks time we will see if our pieces of fruit have been preserved. We weighed our tomatoes before we covered them in salt and baking soda and we made predictions as to whether they would be lighter or heavier after 4 weeks.
