ACHIEVING NURTURING KIND SAFE

Glasgow’s Help Hub

A new Glasgow hub has been created to help people struggling amid the Coronavirus crisis – linking them to organisations and volunteers who are keen to help.

Council and Health and Social Care Partnership staff have teamed up with GCVS, Volunteer Glasgow and Scotland Cares to create a hub which people can contact for help or to volunteer their services.

A new helpline has been set up to act as a single point of contact for anyone seeking or offering help. Volunteers can help  with tasks such as shopping or food delivery or simply having a daily phone call with someone who is being forced to self-isolate.

The helpline will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and can be contacted on 0141 345 0543. It is staffed by volunteers from across the partner organisations and demand is expected to be high so please be patient.

If you are interested in volunteering registration is fast and easy. If you have any queries or please get in touch on findvolunteers@volunteerglasgow.org or phone 0141 345 0543.
