This year pupils can dress up as their favourite book character; however this is not compulsory. Instead each child will be given a potato and will be invited to get creative and turn it into their favourite book character. In class pupils will be asked to vote for their favourite creation. There will be a prize in each class for the best potato. After break we will showcase our World Book Day Potatoes for the whole school to see in the gym hall.  Potatoes will be sent home to decorate on Monday the 25^th of February 2019 and should be returned by Thursday the 7^th of March 2019.

Pupils will take part in a variety of activities organised by their class teacher across the day. To encourage our pupils to read more they will also received a £1 World Book Day Token that can either be exchanged for one of TEN £1 World Book Day books or used to get £1 off any book costing £2.99.
