In 2011 The Hillhead Jazz Band shared the bill with the Glasgow Schools Big Band in a self promoted gig at The Ferry.

The band certainly stepped up and performed with an energy that would give professional bands a run for their money.

 

 

It was a huge success and had a sell out crowd jumping to the sounds of both bands.

It culminated in a joint performance when both bands got together and played for a song at the end.
