Children’s rights are at the heart of everything we do in Hampden. We believe that all of our pupils, no matter their background, ethnicity, disability, age or gender should have an equal say in the decisions being made within our school. We also believe it is important to teach the pupils about the rights they are entitled to as well as creating a nurturing and safe environment where the pupils can express themselves without judgement.
We started our RRS journey in 2019 when we received our bronze award. Then in September 2021 we achieved our Silver award. We were then all extremely proud to be the first ASN school in Glasgow to have achieved the Gold Rights Respecting Schools award in 2023.
