Caledonian Club – Molly and Cally Adventure Showcase
Dear Families,
The Caledonian Club from Glasgow Caledonian University have been working with the children in Primary 2a and Primary 2b to create digital books. The children worked with mentors from the University within small groups to create ideas and art work to be included in the books. Each book took the main characters Molly and Cally on a different numeracy-based adventure. The children loved being part of this project and have developed their learning in many different ways.
Glasgow Caledonian University has now created the digital books and are looking to share these with our children and their families. This has been an amazing opportunity for our Primary 2’s and indeed our school and we would like to share its success with you too. As such families are invited to join us for the book launch in the assembly hall at 2pm on Tuesday 29th November. You will have the opportunity to hear more about the project and along with your child see the display of the children’s art work and the finished book for each class.
We look forward to sharing this exciting showcase with you.
Yours

Cinema Trip 10th November
Primary 4 went all the way into the city centre last Thursday to see ‘The Croods 2’ at Cineworld. This trip linked to work we have been doing in class on film literacy. Everyone enjoyed the film, especially Miss Gordon and Mrs Neil who laughed almost the whole way through! We were very lucky to have 2 parent helpers come with us. The boys and girls all followed our code of conduct and were ready, respectful and safe at all times; we even got a compliment from the bus driver on their good behaviour!
