Every Monday, our children have the opportunity to take part in cycling practice with Drumchapel Cycle Hub.

The sessions provide a fun and supportive environment where children can develop their cycling skills, build confidence and enjoy being active outdoors. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

It is fantastic to see the children learning new skills, supporting one another and enjoying their time on two wheels. We are very grateful to Drumchapel Cycle Hub for helping our pupils become more confident and enthusiastic cyclists.

As part of their topic on Natural Disasters, the children in P5 have been learning all about volcanoes and how they erupt.

To bring their learning to life, the children designed and created their very own paper mâché volcanoes. They enjoyed getting creative and watching their ideas take shape as they built and decorated their models.

The children also developed their procedural writing skills by writing out each step of the process. This helped them to think carefully about the order of events and use clear, precise instructions.

It was fantastic to see the children combining their science, literacy and creative skills while learning more about one of nature’s most fascinating disasters! 🌋

Our Junior Dance After-School Club has been a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to get active, learn new skills and, most importantly, have fun!

The children have been working hard to develop their dance moves, coordination and confidence while enjoying the experience of performing together as a team. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm, creativity and growing confidence each week.

We are very proud of all our young dancers and look forward to seeing them continue to shine! 💃🕺✨

Our P1 pupils have been getting creative by drawing self-portraits — pictures of themselves!

The children carefully looked at their own features and thought about the details that make each of them unique. From their hair and eyes to their facial features and expressions, they worked hard to capture their own likeness in their drawings.

It has been wonderful to see the confidence, creativity and individuality shining through in every self-portrait. Each drawing is special because it represents the unique person behind it. 💫

They will lead by example and represent our school community through our CARES values: Confident, Achieving, Respectful, Enthusiastic and Supportive.

We wish them every success in their new leadership roles and look forward to seeing them make a positive contribution to our school community.

Everyone at Camstradden wishes all our children and families a safe and happy summer holidays – see you all in August!

As part of their Viking topic this term, Primary 5/4 researched Viking homes and settlements before designing and building their own longhouses. They used their research to inform their designs and developed their creativity and construction skills throughout the project.

Primary 3/2 combined creativity and science as they designed and created their own games using magnets. Through this hands-on activity, they explored magnetic forces while showing off their imagination, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
