P5 Science In Action

Primary 5 took part in a human sundial experiment, marking our shadows created by the sun at different time intervals to see how the earth spins/rotates on its axis, causing the position of the sun to move and in turn our shadows to move.

P7 Fun Friday!

Our Primary 7 pupils are gearing up for a fun-filled fundraising event this Friday!

For just £1, pupils can enjoy a non-uniform day—so it’s time to swap school uniforms for favourite outfits. But that’s not all! There will also be a range of exciting activities taking place at lunchtime on the pitch, including football and dancing, giving everyone a chance to get involved and have fun with friends.

It promises to be a great day so don’t forget to bring £1 and join in the fun!

Caledonian University Do Coding With Camstradden

Our Primary 5 pupils have recently wrapped up an exciting series of coding lessons with the Caledonian Club, and what a fantastic journey it has been!

In our final session, the class took their skills to the next level by designing and creating their very own games. This challenge encouraged everyone to explore more complex coding techniques while also using their imaginations to make each project unique. From creative sprites to inventive features, no two games were the same.

It was wonderful to see the pupils’ confidence grow as they experimented, solved problems, and brought their ideas to life through code. The enthusiasm and creativity on display made for a truly engaging final session.

The learning doesn’t stop here, though. We’ll continue developing and improving our games back in the classroom—so keep an eye out for future updates. There’s plenty more to come!

Spotlight on….Primary 2

Primary 5 Begin Their Caledonian Club Coding Journey

All of our Primary 5 pupils are taking part in the Caledonian Club in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University. The programme provides exciting opportunities for children to develop new skills and take part in a range of learning experiences.

This week, the pupils enjoyed their very first coding lesson. They were introduced to the basics of coding through fun and interactive activities, showing great enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the session.

We look forward to seeing the children continue to build their coding skills over the coming weeks!

Sense Over Sectarianism

Primary 7/6 Celebrate Their Learning with Sense Over Sectarianism

Over the past few weeks, Primary 7/6 have been taking part in sessions with Sense Over Sectarianism. Through a range of activities and discussions, the children explored important topics such as respect, inclusion, teamwork, and understanding others.

This week marked their final session, and the class had the opportunity to showcase everything they have learned. Pupils confidently shared their ideas and reflected on how the programme has helped them think about treating others with kindness and respect.

Well done to everyone in Primary 7/6 for their excellent participation and enthusiasm throughout the programme!
