Aims of Technologies courses available in Bellahouston Academy are broadly:
- to develop your skills in communication in a variety of formats
- to develop your skills in thinking and creativity to enable innovation
- to develop your skills in manual dexterity
- to develop an enterprising and ‘can do’ attitude
- to develop your employability for your future
So whether you are learning about how to program a computer in Computing Science, using a computer in Administration and IT to learn how to use computers for Business, or designing new products in Design and Manufacture, these courses all help develop your skills in creating a pathway to your future, developing your talents and abilities to the full.
We also try to give pupils opportunities beyond the classroom, like taking part in the Determined to Animate project, Brookfield Project, Determined to Promote, Micro-Tyco Project, Future Savers Credit Union, Breakfast Club, Trades House competitions and visits to Coca Cola Factory, to name but a few.
